Auxesia builds portfolio with Persimmon North West

We began working with Persimmon Homes North West, in June 2021. During this time, we have built a portfolio of 123 new build shared ownership, affordable and social rent properties, across four schemes in locations across Cheshire East, Staffordshire and Newcastle-under-Lyme. In the last 12 months, we have handed over 68 of these homes to our residents.

The objective of our partnership is to provide homes for public sector workers where possible. In our efforts to encourage sales to our primary customers, we offer a period of exclusivity selling only to individuals and families who have an affiliation with the British Armed Forces, NHS or Emergency Services. As a result, we are proud to report that more than one third of the 68 properties handed over this year by Persimmon Homes are occupied by public service workers.

The Developments

• Shavington Park – 16x two, three and four bedroom homes for shared ownership purchase and a further 30 properties available on an affordable rental basis. Situated in a semi-rural area 2.5 miles to the south of Crewe. On this site, Persimmon Homes have uniquely provided bungalows and detached 4 bedroom house types as an affordable option. Both house types are underrepresented in the current affordable market and serves an import function in the housing sector.

• Pottery Gardens – located in Cheadle, Staffordshire, 41 homes affordable homes are available in total, with 12 made available for shared ownership purchase with a further 29 offered on an affordable rent basis.

• The Hamptons – this development comprises 27 new build homes, 11 for shared ownership and 16 for social rent. The Hamptons is located in the market town of Newcastle-under-Lyme.

• Hardings Wood – a smaller development of just 9 homes, just 3 made available to purchase on a shared ownership basis, with 6 available for social rent.
